Dr. Prashant Bhandarkar

Dr Prashant Bhandarkar has completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Nagpur in the years 1984 and 1988, respectively. He did DM (Gastroenterology) in 1994 from TN Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He worked at the prestigious Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital Mumbai as Lecturer and Associate Professor for 6 years and also trained in GI endoscopy at centres in Europe and USA. He was a PG teacher for DM (Gastroenterology) for Mumbai University and has a vast teaching experience. He also has a special interest in Hepatology, ERCP and third space endoscopy.
Dr Prashant has over 30 years of experience in critical care Gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He is a pioneer in third space endoscopy in Central India doing complex procedures like POEM, EMR and ESD. He has numerous original research publications in national and international journals and textbook chapters. He is a member of various national academic bodies like ISG, SGEI, INASL and also a member of American College of Gastroenterology. He has conducted many International clinical trials and is invited as a speaker in various medical conferences. He is a motivational writer and co-author of a novel “Triple Negative”.
